ViewSonic ViewPad 7e

The ViewPad 7e is a touchscreen tablet device from the ViewSonic company. Functioning as a direct competitor to similar products like the Apple iPad, Blackberry Playbook and HP Touchpad, this model features a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display and runs Google's Android 2.2 "Gingerbread" operating system.

Lightweight enough to be held with a single hand, the ViewPad incorporates rounded edges to ensure long-term user comfort. Users can access the full range of Google Mobile Services, an application suite that comprises popular services like Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Talk and the classic Google Search. The Document-To-Go application supports mobile viewing and editing of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, alongside a dedicated PDF reader for further format support. The tablet also features both a front and rear-facing digital camera, the former for self-photography and videoconferencing and the latter for capturing still images and 1080p HD video. Internal memory comes stock at 512 megabytes, but can upgraded to a maximum of 32 gigabytes via MicroSD support.
