Product Shot 2 Smaller and lighter than its predecessors, the Touch includes 4 gigabytes of internal storage capable of housing up to 3000 eBooks. An updated version of the advanced E-Ink technology helps to further prevent glare even in bright outdoor conditions, significantly reducing eye strain through paper-like text rendering. Reading material can be browsed and downloaded from the Kindle Store directly from the unit itself, with most titles taking less than one minute to transfer. Pages are turned by tapping the display instead of requiring the dedicated hard buttons of previous models, while text-to-speech functionality provides spoken-word playback of English content to the user's headset or the built-in stereo speakers. Free Amazon Cloud backup is available to all customers for additional storage of digital files in a secure online environment, and up to 2 months of wireless battery life are available on a single charge. A 1-year limited warranty is included with purchase.
